ARTISTIC COLLABORATIONS

I collaborate with orchestras, ensembles, solo artists, festivals, universities, and cultural organizations through commissioned compositions, arrangements, orchestration, music direction, recording projects, and large ensemble productions.

My work has been developed across a wide range of musical environments involving symphony orchestras, jazz orchestras, chamber ensembles, Brazilian music projects, recording sessions, live performances, educational institutions, festivals, and interdisciplinary productions throughout Brazil, the United States, Canada, and Europe.

These collaborations frequently bring together orchestral writing, Brazilian musical traditions, jazz language, improvisation, chamber music interaction, and contemporary large ensemble practices, adapting to the artistic goals and realities of each project.

ARTISTIC APPROACH

My work as a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and music director is centered around collaborative artistic environments where orchestration, improvisation, rhythm, ensemble interaction, and contemporary musical production operate together as part of an integrated creative process.

Rather than approaching composition and arrangement as isolated technical activities, my projects are usually developed through close collaboration with performers, orchestras, improvisers, producers, conductors, and artistic institutions.

A significant part of this work involves adapting musical language to different ensemble realities while preserving artistic coherence, rhythmic identity, orchestral clarity, and space for ensemble interaction.

This includes projects ranging from chamber orchestra settings and jazz symphonic productions to Brazilian music collaborations, contemporary large ensemble writing, recording sessions, and interdisciplinary artistic performances.

WORKING PROCESS

Every collaboration begins with the artistic goals of the people and institutions involved.

Some projects require the creation of a new composition. Others involve arrangements, orchestration, music direction, rehearsal preparation, recording production, educational activities, or broader artistic coordination. The specific process varies according to the needs of each project, ensemble, and performance environment.

My role may include composition, arrangement, orchestration, score preparation, rehearsal planning, artistic direction, conducting, recording supervision, and collaborative development with soloists, ensembles, producers, and institutions.

Rather than applying a fixed model to every project, I approach each collaboration as a unique artistic process shaped by its musical objectives, available resources, performers, and creative context.

  • orchestras

  • chamber ensembles

  • jazz orchestras and big bands

  • solo artists

  • festivals

  • universities

  • cultural institutions

  • interdisciplinary artistic projects

Whether developing a new composition, orchestral arrangement, educational residency, recording project, or large ensemble collaboration, I approach each commission as a collaborative artistic process built around the goals, resources, and creative vision of the people involved.

If you are interested in commissioning a new work or discussing a potential collaboration, please get in touch.
