FILM SCORING & MUSIC FOR MEDIA
Film scoring, orchestral storytelling, music for visual media, and collaborative audiovisual projects developed through a background in composition, orchestration, large ensemble writing, and contemporary musical production.
My interest in music for film and visual media developed alongside my work as a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and music director. While much of my professional career has focused on orchestral projects, jazz orchestra writing, Brazilian music, and collaborative artistic productions, music for image has remained an important area of study and creative interest throughout my development.
My training includes film scoring studies at the Frost School of Music - University of Miami, participation in the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop hosted by New York University, and artistic experiences developed through the Henry Mancini Institute, where I worked alongside composers, arrangers, performers, and producers connected to film, television, orchestral music, and large ensemble production.
Through these experiences, I developed a strong interest in the relationship between narrative, orchestration, atmosphere, thematic development, and visual storytelling.

MUSIC, NARRATIVE & VISUAL STORYTELLING
One of the aspects that most attracts me to music for film and visual media is its ability to connect musical structure with narrative meaning.
Whether working with orchestra, chamber ensembles, electronics, jazz-influenced writing, or hybrid instrumental textures, I am interested in how music can shape atmosphere, emotional pacing, dramatic tension, character development, and narrative identity.
Many of the same ideas that inform my work as a composer for the concert stage - orchestration, rhythm, thematic transformation, ensemble color, and long-form musical architecture - also play an important role in my approach to music for visual media.

BACKGROUND & TRAINING
My background in music for media has been shaped through academic training, professional artistic environments, and long-term involvement with composers and institutions connected to film music and contemporary orchestral production.
This includes film scoring studies at the University of Miami, participation in the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop, and experiences as a Composer Fellow of the Henry Mancini Institute.
During this period, I had the opportunity to learn from and interact with artists whose work spans orchestral music, jazz, film scoring, and contemporary composition, including figures such as James Newton Howard and Terence Blanchard.
I also participated in projects connected to the legacy of Henry Mancini, including concert productions, score preparation, orchestral performances, and educational activities developed through the Institute.
BRAZILIAN MUSIC, JAZZ & ORCHESTRAL LANGUAGE
While many of the demo materials presented on this page were developed as exercises in traditional film scoring language, one of my strongest artistic interests lies in projects that connect cinematic storytelling with Brazilian musical traditions, improvisation, orchestral writing, and contemporary ensemble practices.
I am particularly interested in films, documentaries, series, and multimedia projects that engage with Brazilian cultural traditions, regional musical languages, historical subjects, artistic communities, and contemporary forms of musical storytelling.
My background in Brazilian music, jazz, orchestral composition, arrangement, and large ensemble production offers opportunities to approach these projects through a musical perspective that combines local cultural knowledge with international orchestral and cinematic practices.
