COMPOSER & ARRANGER
Compositions and arrangements are at the core of my work.
My compositions have been performed and recorded around the globe, including Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, the United States of America, Canada, Austria, Bulgaria, Netherlands, and Japan.
I have studied in depth various styles and composed for diverse ensembles, ranging from traditional to experimental classical music, from jazz to Brazilian and other folk genres. Brad Mehldau, Terence Blanchard, Chick Corea, Gregory Porter, Ivan Lins, and Romero Lubambo are some of the artists that I had the opportunity to write for.
I feel very comfortable navigating between different music styles. My final essay as a Doctor of Musical Arts focuses on the possibilities of amalgam and confluence of distinct musical aesthetics.
If you are interested in buying any of my scores and/or parts to perform my music, please look at my composition's catalog.

FILM COMPOSER
FILMSCORING
I got my start in film scoring while studying for my masters’ degree at the University of Miami. I then went on to take the ASCAP film-scoring workshop held at the New York University (NYU), which resulted in me scoring a few movies in collaboration with young filmmakers in Brazil and the US.
DEMOS
MUSIC DIRECTOR
Conducting started to take place of instrumental performance in my career in 2008. Instead of playing the saxophone and leading mid and small ensembles, I started conducting various orchestras and big bands, mostly featuring my compositions and arrangements. A year after I started conducting I was selected to participate in the Brazilian TV competition “Prelude” for young classical musicians (2009).
My awards as a conductor include 4 Downbeat Student Awards leading University of Miami ensembles in classical (2013) and Latin jazz categories (2013, 2015, and 2016).

CONCERT & EVENT PRODUCER
As a music director and project creator, many times I also take the lead as a producer of many of my projects.
AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCER
During my Masters of Music in Studio Jazz Writing I worked at the University of Miami studio, recording and filming weekly for students and the University youtube channel. Since then, audio and video productions are an important part of my work.
A highlight of my experience was assisting jazz producer Larry Rosen on the post-production of "Jazz and the Philharmonic" CD/DVD, broadcasted nationally by PBS.
Today I produce, record, and film multiple projects in New York City.
AUDIO RECORDING, MIXING AND MASTERING
Since my undergraduate studies in composition at UNICAMP (Campinas University, Brazil), audio production became an integral part of my artistry.
During my five years at the University of Miami, I won 4 graduate student downbeat awards as a recording engineer; recording, mixing, and mastering a variety of projects and ensembles. Highlights of my experience during that period at Frost School of Music are the big band and orchestral recordings sessions, as well as the Jazz Forums, recording visiting artists such as Terence Blanchard and Dave Holland. In Miami, I also did live mixing assistance during major concerts by the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra with artists such as film composer James Newton Howard, singer Bobby McFerrin, vocal group Take 6, and pianist Chick Corea.
VIDEOGRAPHER
Video production is an integral part of my artistry. I am an active videographer in New York City, specializing in filming musical projects, shows, concerts, and recording sessions.
