FORRÓ SEM PALAVRAS

Forro Sem Palavras (Wordless Forró) is a project based on the musical vocabulary and rhythms of forró, a Brazilian style that originated in the northeast of the country.

 

"Forró Sem Palavras" was created in 2018 to bring this music style to an orchestral setting, mixing with various other influences present in my work as a composer and arranger, namely classical music and jazz.

It was premiered as part of a series of events I produce for Forró New York, and since then it was presented in various cities across the Americas, including Montreal, Toronto, Campinas, and Rio Claro.
